Tesla. The Big Recall

Almost every single Tesla sold in America in the last 8 years must have an urgent fix.

Approximately 2 million models, including the Model 3, Model S, Model X and Model Y are being recalled in the USA after an almost 2 year investigation by the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) found that Tesla’s much touted Autopilot feature was “insufficient to prevent misuse”.

According to Tesla there is a much greater chance of a crash if the driver is actually driving. However it has been forced to issue this urgent over the air update, it’s second one in as many years. According to their website “In certain circumstances when Autosteer is engaged, and the driver does not maintain responsibility for vehicle operation and is unprepared to intervene as necessary or fails to recognize when Autosteer is canceled or not engaged, there may be an increased risk of a crash.”
